Pros
-Fast-paced work of high variety: You can take on projects doing pretty much anything in the HR/organizational space. If clients ask for it, Deloitte does it. -Competitive pay and benefits: Salary is above average for the industry and on par for the region. Benefits include good healthcare, 401k match, well-being subsidy, and many others. -Ability to work remotely or in-person: You can influence how much you want to travel for projects (though travel expectations have been increasing again). You also have flexibility to work from home or at your local office if you want.
Cons
-Overachiever culture: Deloitte rewards people who work the most and produce the most output, even if this has little positive impact on clients. It also rewards people who present as experts in their area, even if they are not. -Hierarchical structure: Because Deloitte is a matrixed organization, consultants are most closely affiliated with their level more than anything else. If you are anything below an SC, good luck getting your concerns or ideas heard. -Slides, slides, and more slides: The main currency at Deloitte is PPT slides. If you don't enjoy spending hours a day working on slides, you better learn to!
