Pros

Global multinational that offers lots of opportunities to move internationally Diageo has some of the worlds most established brands so selling them isnt too difficult compared to some of the competition Fantastic office facility in London and some of the benefits are as good as you will find Unrivalled share scheme, opportunity to make lots of money if you stay long term Great people who are very passionate about the company Great regular staff events

Cons

Some managers tend to be quite old school in their approach which doesnt help people at the early stage of their career and can intimidate some Competitors pay better salaries Appraisal/Development system is poor, management don't really help you get to where you want to be they expect you to 'own' your development and do all the work yourself, which is tough when you are a new employee and don't know much about the company Lots of focus and attention goes to graduates as opposed to other employees at the same level who are as good as and usually better performers Lots of change and restructuring which leaves employees in limbo for long periods, and management don't do a lot to reassure employees who are under threat Graduates are often given roles they are not worthy of and don't understand how things work at customer level which leads to a lot of pointless activities on the ground Feedback from employees is often ignored

Pros

Pay & Benefits are wonderful

Cons

Unrealistic expectations towards employees Insurance benefits *Managers* are composed of front-line production leads and those who may oversee or supervise.* The work-life balance is severely lacking, and there are biased managers who add negative connotations to peers' actions without any solid evidence or knowledge. Furthermore, these managers often lack technical expertise regarding machinery and engage in excessive micromanagement of employees. The workplace lacks diversity as defined, and the hiring representatives are typically the same floor leads that micromanage peers creating unfair hiring process at Diageo. Many individuals who have encountered the corrupt practices lead reps in previous jobs are frequently denied opportunities.
