Salary, stock, bonus, flexible with hours (unlimited sick time, but it is tracked and discouraged). They provide a lot of feedback, opportunity to interview for cross banner positions with Family Dollar.
Cons
If you are not male, you likely will not be there long. They demand long hours (7-6 each day on average). Most women in merchandising do not have children, majority of the merchants are older, there is a lack of appetite for change. Tenured associates should not automatically qualify you for promotion, promote for skill. Company just introduced maternity leave (6 weeks) in 2019 and we’re very proud of themselves. Not a good place for a millennial to work with how many other options there are out there. Typically if you are in a category, you will die in that category. Zero movement.
