I have been working at Dollar Tree part-time

    Pros

I have a great Team of managers and coworkers I work with n why we work well and one of the Top Stores around. My store manager Nick is awesome n it hurts him to only give us 20 hrs or if we are over then we get cut early. If it wasnt for Nick, and everyone I work with then I probaly would have already been done gone. This is the only thing that makes me stay and be a hard working dedicated employee. Good employees starts with good managers as well as the company and how they treat their employees. I give working for Nick 5 stars.

    Cons

Pay is way to low for what they expect you to do during your shift. As well as Dollar Tree only gives 20 hrs a week max unless another employee calls out or on vacation. To run a store effiently, effectively for our employees and to serve customers better the wages should be higher as well as minimum hours should be 30 hrs unless management. We are over worked to the max and it seems we are not treating our dedicated n loyal employees properly. I feel bad for the store managers cause they do best they can but have to follow orders from Corporate above them.

    Advice to Management

I love working for Dollar Tree other than Corporate expects way too much from us little people for little pay n hardly no hours while continuing added things among us which I dont mind but would expect more hours and pay cause you cant take care of a Family on $7.36/hr 20 hrs a week. Ive been there 4 months and guess we dont get raises but once a year. Sit down with the employees on the store level to listen to what ideas or changes can be made to Improve Dollar Tree even further cause we listen to our regular repeat customers on what they would like to see which can Help the Company to meet our most loyal customers needs n expectations. Yall can take all of this to table. I believe our most loyal customers are the ones whom keep our doors open as too word of mouth sells it all. I would love to work one day in the office to be a voice to help make Dollar Tree be open for another 100 years. I do have management experience and a people person. I hope you please think about what Ive said. I love working for Dollar Tree and my managers n co workers are the main reason why Im still there cause my paycheck barley covers my rent everymonth. Its getting hard though not to move on though cause Ive got Bills to pay and 3 children to take care over and need something full-time and more pay even if that means working with bad managers/co workers to do that. Im hanging on as long as possible. Havent given up yet.

I have been working at Dollar Tree part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are very flexible as far as hours

    Cons

They cut the stores hours down so low that nothing gets done.

    Advice to Management

In order to increase sales, the shelves need to stay stocked and the store needs to be kept up which means you can't keep cutting so many hours or ultimately, you lose sales!
