Pros

Good work life balance Some roles are fully remote

Cons

Equifax is a very sales and finance-focused organization. If you are NOT joining sales or finance, move on and consider other opportunities besides Equifax. There is a lot of talk about Equifax trying to become a product-led company but it could not be farther from the truth. The product leaders at Equifax USIS business don't have any meaningful product or leadership experience. They act more like cheerleaders. The product town halls are amusing at best. There is a general lack of resources to get work done. Equifax doesn't seem to care about its customers. There is a lot of talk about being customer-first. However, it is used by Sales for empire building without any meaningful customer impact. Equifax is one of the three credit bureaus in the country besides Experian and Transunion. But, Equifax takes the prize in taking the credit bureau and making it a bureaucracy that puts even the Federal government to shame. Overall a very uninspiring environment.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
