Pros

Strong, well-recognized global brand with a solid position in the travel tech industry Opportunity to work on large-scale, impactful products used by millions of customers Generally supportive teams and collaborative culture in many orgs Good work-life balance compared to many tech companies Competitive benefits and travel-related perks Focus on innovation, data, and technology with exposure to complex systems

Cons

Career growth and leveling up can be slower and less predictable at times Promotion paths may lack clarity and can vary significantly by team or manager Frequent reorganizations can impact momentum and long-term planning Decision-making can feel slow due to company size and multiple layers Growth opportunities often depend heavily on timing and leadership support

Pros

Incredible benefits! Quality, affordable medical insurance, 401k, wellness reimbursement, travel reimbursement, plenty of PTO, etc. They have fresh food cooked daily for breakfast and lunch, available for purchase. They also have free food, such as yogurt cups, cheese sticks, and shelf-stable fruits available to all employees. The benefits keep many of us here. I will say, have had two supervisors so far, and they’ve each been great. Very understanding, yet motivating. I haven’t yet met a supervisor who didn’t value their supervisees.

Cons

The main digital platforms we use do not function efficiently, which makes a noticeable impact on our work. On a perfect day, you’ll still spend 8-12 minutes per hour waiting on load screens, but we have experienced days in which the sites were down for about 6 hours within an 8 hour day. I feel that our quarterly goals are not constructed with this in mind. Another major con is—like many places now—job security is an issue. AI is taking over the job of many employees, and while we’re told to embrace it, it’s difficult to do so when you could walk in any day and be told to pack your things.
