Pros

There's only 3 ways to get laid off: attack someone, steal personal info from Geico, and to not badge out exactly 8.5 hours after bading in. 401k, medical and dental benefits The dress is casual. Good for people who like learning from lectures and listening to variations on sermons about the value of hard work

Cons

There's 5 different places to log time and hours for tasks. Political culture. Very little flexibility with the 8.5 hours per day rule Less holidays than other work places Sometimes required to go to the building to badge in when there's a blizzard or use a vacation day without the work from home access. No laptops for most developers Analysts and developers all sit next to each other in an open cubicle setting. Meetings are done via the desktop application Webex. At least 90% filled office every day. Noise pollution ensues Work from home is heavily monitored with many intermittent reports necessary. Stuffy building. Terrible if you hate preaching

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
