Pros

There’s not much of anything anymore

Cons

This company is horrible. After being work from home for almost 2 years, they are forcing people to go back into the office. Even though it’s been proven that working from home can work. They don’t care about their employees. I used to love my job, now I loathe and despise it. Completely stressed out. About to have a mental break down. Forced to talk to two customers at once, but told that we can’t tell the customer we are helping someone else as well, because we want them to fell like they have our undivided attention. Also not k owing if I will have a job from one day to the next. My previous department was taken away and we were all told that we were going to be doing something else that we all hated. To then be told “hey, we are offering OT to do the job we were previously assigned to do”. The way this company is ran, it’s a complete dumpster fire now.

Pros

GEICO is one of the largest employers in my smaller town, so I've heard all the good, the bad, and the ugly. What a pleasant surprise it's been working here! There is so much intentional change to create a great employee experience and get the right team leaders in place. Highly recommend not putting too much weight into older negative comments if you're thinking about applying. I've been very happy with my salary, the benefits/time off, culture, and leadership (both locally and senior leaders). I feel like there's a lot of room to continue to grow my career here and I see the same opportunities for others.

Cons

Really nothing major that I can think of!

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
