Pros

Motivated, experienced adjusters are afforeded the opportunity to work with very interesting accounts and are rewarded with decent pay increases. Contact with large self insured entities and insurance brokerages can lead to other employment opportunities.

Cons

High turnover in staff causes case loads to constantly be shuffled around. Case loads are above what can be handled properly even by experienced adjusters. Due to case load there is not much time for supervisors to spend on training less experienced adjusters. Very little contact with management. Very little positive feedback. No real sense of belonging to the organization as no visits from home office staff. Medical benefits package below par.

Pros

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Cons

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
