Pros

Good benefits package: highlights include 401k matching (which they took away during COVID) Smart coworkers, really talented people Lots of flexibility with hours and working from home

Cons

Leadership’s approach to everything is “build the plane while you’re flying it” – direction is constantly changing, lot of restructuring, nobody knows what’s going on Transparency is nonexistent, zilch, on EVERYTHING: day to day job operations, company direction, professional growth - everything is wrapped up in these archaic processes and you’ll just feel gaslighted afterwards Lack of diversity and diversity commitments is all talk - unsupportive environment for minorities and people of color – not a good place to grow so there’s really high turnover

Pros

Terrific coworkers. Nearly everyone at the company is pleasant, professional, and willing to help you even if you’ve never met them before. Hybrid work environment. People generally seem to care about you on an individual level. One of the best corporations I’ve worked for.

Cons

Gartner is not in a great place right now. The business model requires changes and Wall Street analysts have tremendous doubts about the corporate liability in the era of AI. Stock has fallen in half over the past two years. Massive layoffs across the company. Doubt the stability is there for any kind of medium term or long-term career. Below market compensation, offset by pros above when they exist.
