Not very organised and very untrue statements about company policies and procedures. The management was also a joke. - Anonymous employee Goodwill Employee Review

Pros

The only pro were really the friendly people that work there. Also the benefits and discounts

Cons

First of all during the orientation they make the company out to be organised, caring, all about there employees and having an open door policy. None of these were to be true. I from exp had none of the things happen that orientation said would happen as far company dinners, award ceremonies...I was not even made aware of holiday parties. The management at my location was very unprofessional, showed favoritism and never followed through with anything she said she would. The training was a joke and I still to this day was never properly trained. I was thrown on the floor and register to only fail in the "correct way" to do things and got yelled at by other employees. When going to the manager about the situation I was told this person is always like this and I should ignore it. This was a horrible exp. The only thing is it had potential to be a wonderful career. They just need new priorities and management.

Pros

Work fulfilling both physically and socially, dealing with donors and fellow employees for this retiree and former legal and business professional.

Cons

Creepy, clannish, petty, and cultish management is more interested in humiliating others under the guise of "following rules" many of their own making than in ensuring that the work facility is properly equipped to handle daily workflow. Communication nonexistent. Managers pop in and out, apparently stationed at some secret location.  Robotic replies to legitimate work questions when they weren't out-and-out nasty.  I've occasionally dealt with this sort of folks, but never an entire collection of them cheering each other on as might appear in some deleted scene from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Poisonous and bizarre. Recommended only for the Abnormal Psychology student.
