Pros

Goodwill is a benevolent company with over 90% of its proceeds going back into company-owned charity programs. Goodwill will hire those who are handicapped and have a rocky record. The company values are its strong point and are emphasized during training. Employees are encouraged to take initiative and improve the store, and management is receptive to new ideas and working with local charities. Employees may rise through the hierarchy. This is a great first job or job for students.

Cons

The prices were raised for the Southern and Western Colorado Goodwill stores and veteran and senior discounts were limited. My branch used to offer clothing vouchers for local programs but discontinued them. This struck me as immoral for a company. Customers could be difficult at times since Goodwill does attract all sorts of people. I worked front of store but heard in the back/factory there was a lot of drama between workers.
