Pros

Grainger Canada is an organization that lives by the statement, Start with the Customer. Grainger is the largest company in the MRO industry, and will continue to expand its leadership position by focusing on achieving a flawless customer experience. All team members are responsible for this, and Grainger Canada is one of the few companies that continued to invest in service during the pandemic, with near immediate customer service through any channel (including by phone) -- even when most other organizations have cut costs and deteriorated their customer support operations. Grainger has also expanded its product inventory to continue to provide same/next day deliveries to keep customers' operations running smoothly, mitigating the impact of supply chain disruptions. Grainger Canada has a culture and leadership team that cares about its people, and will do the right thing to ensure that team members are looked after, whether it be training, career development/talent management, compensation and employment equity. Grainger has a welcoming corporate culture, focused on building partnerships across the organization.

Cons

As a large organization, Grainger Canada's internal processes may initially be challenging to navigate, but team members are helpful and supportive.

Pros

Great team, competitive pay, and excellent benefits. Grainger truly invests in its employees' growth—I've been able to work toward finishing my college degree while participating in incredible internal initiatives like the Mentor Program, PDP (Professional Development Program), and the Elevate Badging program. There are so many career advancement opportunities here; the only limit is what you place on yourself. Additionally, the culture is highly inclusive. Employees across different departments and regions genuinely support and help one another.

Cons

With so many programs and opportunities available, it can sometimes be a challenge to balance daily responsibilities with professional development, but it is entirely manageable with good time management.
