Pros

Excellent Compensation. And truthfully, Gulfstream hires some of the most talented and motivated employees anywhere in the industry. Most of the non-manager personnel are a joy to work with.

Cons

Contractors are treated so poorly here. Gulfstream uses contractors as a buffer to it's directly hired workforce. Expect insane hours and demands, and then to be fired (RIF'd) at the drop of the hat. Work Life balance took a hard hit recently. Effective on January 1, 2016 all business units will move from 4x10 workweek to 5x8 workweek. If recruiters are selling you on work/life balance then one should question that strongly. Dishonesty, Misinformation, and other forms of ridiculousness abound here. I feel like there are so many levels of underdeveloped, under-utilized, and un-encouraged talent here.

Pros

PTO policy is pretty straight forward and a decent amount of time. If you’re right out of high school or your only desire is to turn wrenches you’re entire life, this place is for you. Three day weekends.

Cons

There is no mobility. They can’t find mechanics so if you are one, they will keep you there at all costs. They fully rely on the good old boy system. The people that are in management positions, especially at West Palm, do not care about anything other than staying where they are and using what little power they think they have. Management is very customer focused but forget their employees. Health benefits are seriously lacking.
