Pros

Some of the nicest people I've met have worked there. Overtime available, when not on salary. Easy job, when not being badgered by higher ups to do repetative meetings. Always hiring, during tax season. Nice bonus, *IF* company makes regional goals. Flexible schedule, most of the time. This job is considered a paid Side hussle, depending on your manager this is a huge plus as they will work with you.

Cons

The worst people I know also work here as management. LONG hours. Never enough Clerical Administrators. Low/non competitive pay to draw in individuals from rural areas looking to work. You will work yourself to burnout if on salary. VERY repetative meetings. Daily+Weekly, Always the same message. Told would be working summer service, been on payroll as summer service for entire summer did not work one day. Short season of work (generally November to April as Tax Pro, October to April as MTL/ATL, January(sometimes February) as CSP. Thrown into thick of things and often told to 'figure it out' when request for more information is made. If company does not make regional goals, no one receives a bonus regardless of how hard they work. Very High Stress the closer to April it gets. Flexible schedule is main marketing point - however your manager will request you open up your time repeatedly. If willing to work hard, plenty of room to shoot up the corporate ladder quick. (csp ->atl -> mtl within a years time.)

Pros

Flexible availability. Path for promotion is obvious and quantified.

Cons

Bonus/commission it is based on level and sales so is low in states without a state tax form. Hourly wage comes out of bonus. Pressure to sell items that don't add to your commission. They push customer surveys but you can be penalized if someone complains about the company, price, amount of emails etc even though you have no control. Some employees are frustratingly low quality and you will spend time helping or fixing their mistakes time that works against your commission. You are expected to answer phones, make appointments, scan, print, take money, help new comers all while maximizing returns. If you take over someone's client and find a mistake you are expected to work against your commission to file amendments peace of mind claims etc.
