Pros

Free meal every shift, solid pay and tips.

Cons

There was one coworker in particular who was terrible. Management did nothing about this person. Me being the adult tried to handle the situation but this person kept pushing my buttons. They were clearly trying to start drama and I wasn’t having it. To this day this was probably one of the worst people I’ve worked with in my life. Crab in a bucket mentality at its finest. Incredibly immature, just awful to be around and brought others down around them. It was a mix of jealousy and insecurity. The thing is a boss needs to handle that and they didn’t. So I quit, I wasn’t going to stay in a place around someone so awful if the boss couldn’t rein them in.

Pros

Advancement opportunities may exist for employees who are willing to handle a very demanding workload and high-pressure environment. The airport setting can provide broad operational experience and exposure to many areas of HR.

Cons

HR operations are understaffed and heavily reactive. Processes rely heavily on manual tracking and communication between multiple managers, which can create confusion and inconsistencies. Workloads can become overwhelming, especially during periods of high turnover or organizational change. Support and communication from leadership may vary significantly by location and department.
