Pros

- If you are part time, you have a lot of flexibility with your schedule, so if you are a student or have other obligations, this is a definite plus. However, in most cases you are TOO part time, and are left crying for hours. There is actually a cap in place on part time hours, which is even going DOWN to no more than 28 hours a week. At $8 an hour, you do the math. Unless you are in high school, I'm not sure how HT expects you to be able to live on such a small paycheck. - However, if management does notice you are a good worker, you'll get more hours, and they are often accomodating if you really need them. BUT! If you prove yourself to be a GREAT worker they'll work you to death. Good for paychecks, bad for work/life balance. - Sometimes good performance is recognized, but feedback is mostly negative or neutral if given at all. -Paid weekly. -Profit sharing checks twice a year. -Excellent focus on great customer service.

Cons

- Store management is often too busy and stressed out about "audits" that only affect them to pay enough attention to their workers. - Raises based on merit or performance are nonexistant. We all got a 15 cent cost-of-living increase, but I work my butt off, have customer complements all the time, am cross-trained in several departments, actively seek out and take on responsibilities, and I am told "Gee, wish we could!" when I ask for a raise. -There are very few full time positions, and it is exceptionally difficult to be promoted to full time if you are part-time. "Gee, wish we could!" -"Promotions" given seemingly at random. -If you don't stand up for yourself, they will walk all over you. -Benefits are offered for part time, but they are kind of terrible. -Often, we are told we have to "cut hours" and have on occasion been pretty much forced to go home mid-shift.

Pros

You get paid every week.

Cons

• They talk to you like you're stupid. • Their tone becomes more aggressive when you don't brown nose them. • They don't lead by example nor implement any teamwork. • They make daily operations more difficult to complete as a flex. • They disguise their racism towards employees as company policy institution. • They become spiteful when you don't fall in line and take out their frustration on your workers while store management look the other way. • They talk negatively about you in group chats and emails. • They pretend to be inefficient when they don't want to help. • They harass & imprison your workers as soon as you clock out (by eyewitness accounts). • Management will sabotage your evaluation, hire special needs people for critical thinking jobs, & accept underperforming associates from other stores just to save money. • Higher-ups will deny qualified applicants employment while conspiring to hire the children of old classmates who purposefully show up to work late. • Store management will physically assault minors who steal on the premises and act openly racists to shoppers of color.
