I worked at Harris Teeter (More than a year)

    Pros

Super nice to employees and has fun incentives to get cashier and baggers to be faster

    Cons

You end up doing a lot of odd jobs or helping in different departments which I didn't mind but sometimes can be overwhelming jumping from checking people out to then sweeping to then getting carts

I have been working at Harris Teeter part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Have lots of great coworkers, pay is very good and reasonable, lots of varied benefits, pay is weekly, environment is very welcoming, certain free products every month for employees

    Cons

Schedules sometimes have issues, occasional miscommunication between departments, actual product employee discount is not great

  4. "Better before Kroger"

    Pros

Has great health insurance benefits. There is a lot of openings in management. Very flexible hours! All the management cares about each employee. Each store I work in feels like a family.

    Cons

Never enough staff, over time is said to not be wanted but with all the under staffed stores it is inevitable. And it’s the management pays the price with Their time. There is a disconnect between the corporate side and the retail side. I’m not sure why, but if there are ideas for improvement from the retail side it is silenced. So if corporate comes around every one just has to lie and pretend that it’s all peachy.

    Advice to Management

Try not to over work your self. It could cause a heart attack. There was one who did in my store. Don’t get into management.

I have been working at Harris Teeter full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Bonus checks twice a year
    Decent salary

    Cons

Part time on front end typically gets 15 hours a week.
Management gets away with anything they want to when running the store if your store manager doesn't care. No other outside checks and balances.

I worked at Harris Teeter part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I mostly worked by myself so i didnt have to worry about management micromanaging me. By the time day shift started coming in i was almost done for the day. My department managers were cool though

    Cons

It was a lot of work for one person to do by themselves and for the amount of work that had to be done thr pay should be better

    Advice to Management
