I worked at Harris Teeter part-time

    Pros

My fellow employees were incredibly nice and easy going. The store fostered a friendly and service-oriented environment.

    Cons

Most of the available positions are part time. Sometimes we were understaffed during rushes creating brief stress.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Great management reinforced the friendly atmosphere of the store and tried to reduce stress wherever possible.

I have been working at Harris Teeter part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employees at Harris Teeter are some of the nicest people I have ever met.

    Cons

Way to low pay for the work they have us doing, especially since other departments get payed for more, but less work.
If you want good managment do not come here, store manager does not interact with anyone, and managers only come to lecture us, never once coming down to compliment someone.
Way understaffed as it currently stands.
They can sometimes have a very poor choice in people they hire.

    Advice to Management

    LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES

I have been working at Harris Teeter full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, and good people and managers.

    Cons

Poor work ethic from cashiers, not enough employees and the audits on managers make it impossible for them to come and do proper training for new employees.

    Advice to Management

Managers are there to oversee operations, they cant do that if they are chasing down papers for audits. Audits don't say if you do your job right or being a good manager, its how you are to your employees and customers to keep them coming. back to the store

I worked at Harris Teeter part-time

    Pros

Good starting pay, good summer job

    Cons

management was a revolving door, both the managers I worked with were gone within 3 months of me quitting. there were no set shifts, so every week I had a different schedule, and they have on-call days where you don't know if you're working until right before your shift starts
