Pros

Equity grants in R&D are quite high. Offices are quiet.

Cons

There is very poor support for managers at Indeed. In the 6 years I have been at this company HR and Eval processes have only remained consistent across evaluation cycles one time. No training of upskilling for managers and no real community support. Product managers at Indeed are extremely variable in quality. Some are insightful capable people and others are incapable of basic tasks like writing requirements documents. As an Engineering Manager in R&D you are expected to make up the difference. This can be a wide gap. Senior management fail to get the company behind them and are very unpopular, It is difficult to see a competency difference between SLT and directors.

Pros

I loved the talented people I worked with; I appreciated being appreciated; I loved helping employers hire; and I really thought this would be the company I retired from.

Cons

The company culture changed significantly after it became publicly traded; I didn't particularly care for how they handled layoffs; they didn't always act on the feedback they received; and they were slow to jump on the AI train.
