Pros

They have great insurance benefits. I had some AMAZING teammates!!

Cons

Absolutely horrible! Hard to know where to start!! Training is a complete joke! They give you a laptop and a PowerPoint presentation with a million links and tell you to “have at it.” They expect you to learn everything about the job, industry and company based off of a bunch of links to random recordings full of acronyms you will have no clue about. They flat out tell you that it is not important to know the products...”there are experts who will know that.” There is absolutely ZERO protection of territory. They will tell you that you will be assigned and own a territory within a specific vertical. However, it is openly stated “It’s like the Wild West out there. You need to be aggressive and put your stake in the ground before anyone else does.” Hmmm...so why even bother with assigning accounts? The majority of the products they offer were obtained through acquisitions. As a result, it is not uncommon to have no one within the company who truly knows anything about the product. So, the customers who call in requiring assistance with an issue with the software are SOL. It’s no wonder many customers opt for outside partners to help with service issues. I’ve never experienced such poor morale in my entire working career. They have hired a large number of new reps, split up territories that were once covered by one rep into 2-3 territories and have kept quotas the same for all three reps... they honestly expect that adding two bodies to a territory should triple the amount of sales. Everyone I worked with was either actively looking for a new job or was hoping to be fired and take advantage of a small severance. You will be told that your compensation is roughly a 50/50 split...base plus commission. I strongly recommend negotiating for a higher base...as I only know of a small handful who have even come close to hitting quotas necessary to earn the quoted commission. Within a three-month time span one manager disappeared without explanation, a new manager was brought in and teams were completely shifted, another manager was promoted moving his team into our team...only to be demoted back to his management position less than a month later requiring his team to move yet again. Of course, none of this is communicated with any of the teams. You only learn of this when you realize they are no longer on the distribution list. Nearly every customer I spoke with was BEYOND frustrated with Infor. If it wasn’t due to serious issues involving the software...it was because they had to wait WEEKS (if not months) for help with said issues. I also was told multiple times that “I was the 100th sales person to reach out to them.” Which only solidifies that there is no protection of territories and/or there is never-ending turnover! Either way you look at it...it’s not good! The big push is to constantly grow pipeline. As long as you are growing pipeline...you are good to go...regardless if it is a legitimate pipeline or not. It was openly communicated “no opportunity is ever lost...it’s just moved into the next quarter.” I was told many times, “I can’t come out and say that people open up fake opportunities...but just know if you open opps below $100k...management won’t harass you to know the status...and it will keep them off your back regarding your pipeline.” If you are an ethical person who wants to manage your business from a realistic perspective...you’re screwed. Suffice to say...in no uncertain terms...I would NOT recommend joining any sales team at Infor!

Pros

Great company to work for. Flexible. Great mentors and access to leadership.

Cons

Leadership changes frequently Infor has a few "focus" industries - its best to be in one of those lines of business if you want to maximize sales compensation.

Pros

Supportive colleagues, positive employee relationships, competitive PTO benefits, and a solid 401(k) retirement savings program.

Cons

Concerns with inconsistent leadership practices, lack of transparency among management and senior leadership, insufficient employee training, and limited opportunities for career growth and advancement. Leadership effectiveness should be based on fairness, communication, trust, and the ability to support employees, not simply years of service. Employees thrive in environments where managers avoid favoritism, trust their teams, provide constructive guidance, and help build morale rather than micromanage.
