Pros

Great Infrastructure. One of the best in World (yes I mean it)...that's all.

Cons

1. Once you are allocated a project, irrespective of your qualification, interest, you have to work in that, else manager will force you for disciplinary action. 2.You will be allocated to a Business unit and in that business unit to a particular delivery unit for ex ECS--->IMS, now you will have a DM for ECSIMS which will hold few project that will be in IMS only. You can never get in to development or anything else .since your DM will be having only supports project and he will never release you on bench even after years of service. At most he will offer you other project in his DU. ALL in all you are always working for a delivery manger in subssection (ECSIMS) of a section(ECS). You can never be moved to your will even if you have served considerable amount of time. 3. Even when you come on bench you will be asked to work only for your unit . (xxxyyy) xxxx=ecs, rcl, yyy=ims, ivs you will be mapped to one xxxyyy .for ex if you are in ECSIMS you will always be in ECSIMS and will be in Infra support because even a single project will be run bu multiple DMs which belongs to different yyy. SO ECSIMS DM will not agree to move you in ECSIVS,ECSADM and for moving in verticals i.e. ECS to RCL it next to impossible. 4.Ruined by disgusting policies. 5.Open door policy...exist on paper :-) 6.18 months release...exist on paper :-) 7.AND the biggest of all salary and notice period. Notice period is 3 months and that's not negotiable bcoz that's the only weapon infosys had to stop attrition. I personally can't go for many interviews since no one willing to wait for 3 months and Infosys knows that very well. since most of the employees are willing to quit coz of the salary that's even lower than the salary of our juniors in other companies, this one is the master weapon.

Pros

Legitimate source of gainful project-based tech employment. Handles the headaches of looking for tech work and verifying your talent & legitimacy as a professional in the field, which is especially valuable in the age of AI. Additionally, they offer internal training resources to help ensure your skills are up to date with the current tech landscape.

Cons

Pay can be significantly lower than might be expected for tech work at higher levels, as their business model is as a staffing company, garnishing part of the wage paid by project clients as part of your employment. It's definitely very livable payment in most places, but it doesn't approach senior or even mid-level pay offered by many other US-operating employers in the tech space. This company has also been operating on slow or outdated systems, which can be frustrating for the remote contact of many of its employees, but Infosys has been actively updating these systems over time. Additionally, work conditions will be set at the behest of clients. Infosys is your pipeline to client projects, not often the host of projects themselves, so working conditions & expectations can vary by client.
