I worked at Infosys full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

The value system of the company is noteworthy. The company has managed to keep this alive over time and across its new hires. This is most visible in challenging times or when dealing with difficult situations. This is a company to build long-term careers or join early in your career to have an exposure to professional workplace practices.

    Cons

The company can be slow to respond to market dynamics or to employee dynamics, but the response will be well thought-out.

    Advice to Management

Engaging employees not just around their work but also around the shared principles. Be decisive about aligning company values with the kind of people who are in the company, and exclude those who don't align to company values in their actions and decisions.

I worked at Infosys full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    - Flexible and open work environment - Learn on the job / Training and development - Many opportunities - Great leadership heading the Indianapolis hub

    Cons

    - Hours of work can vary - Unable to choose your own projects

    Advice to Management

Recognize talent, and adjust accordingly. Play people to their strengths. Monkey see, monkey do. If there are employees regularly not in the office with no one to hold them accountable, then others will do the same, and management becomes overlooked. Find the right managers who will make sure people stay on task, and enjoy the tasks that they are working on.

      Pros

Good company to join on CPT/OPT applies for H1b if you get Technology Lead (Job Level 5) and above positions. Good Brand name to be on resume for further job search

      Cons

Does not apply for GC When it comes to handling immigration things like RFEs, no visibility given to lawyers, doesn't easily apply in premium processing. Internal systems only operable with internet explorer makes really hard to check the emails.

      Advice to Management

Upgrade internal system to be able to access form modern browsers. immigration related issues could be handled little more professionally if given enough attention to each applicant with someone personally looking in it. Each case is unique and should/could be handled uniquely.
