I worked at Infosys full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The value system of the company is noteworthy. The company has managed to keep this alive over time and across its new hires. This is most visible in challenging times or when dealing with difficult situations. This is a company to build long-term careers or join early in your career to have an exposure to professional workplace practices.

    Cons

The company can be slow to respond to market dynamics or to employee dynamics, but the response will be well thought-out.

    Advice to Management

Engaging employees not just around their work but also around the shared principles. Be decisive about aligning company values with the kind of people who are in the company, and exclude those who don't align to company values in their actions and decisions.

I worked at Infosys full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Willing to take on people without software experience and provide three months of training. Could be a good place to start out if you fall into a group with good prospects and tech stack. If you're looking for stability, you could stay here a long time.

      Cons

Disorganized at all levels, from training (location moved across the country two weeks before departing), assignment of projects, knowing who your manager is. Contacting HR is nearly impossible, was unable to get a consistent answer on salary, career progression, anything. Work culture is not very healthy, expected to be on 10pm calls five nights a week, overtime not paid unless you specifically ask. Saw project leads...

      Advice to Management

Invest time in understanding why local US hires are leaving Infosys and make adjustments to the hiring, staffing, and management process. Be honest and consistent about what you're hiring people for, what they will be working on, and career progression.
