Pros

Infosys paid fully for my 3 months intensive full stack software engineering bootcamp. Can't name any other pros as I was on the bench for a whole year doing absolutely nothing other than reskilling myself voluntarily. Oh actually, there is pool table in the main office in London. Became quite a decent pool player by the end of my career at Infosys. On some days I basically just went in to play pool. Some heated games we had! Good memories.

Cons

Zero exposure to projects. My managers changed quite a few times as well whilst I was there without me even knowing about this or meeting them ever. Terrible communication between managers and employees. Good place for someone who likes to do zero work but still get paid fully. You don't even have to go in. Though it doesn't look too great on your resume doing nothing for an entire year so I left as soon as my contract allowed me to do so (had to be there for a year at least because of the paid bootcamp). I desperately tried to get on projects for a good 9 months but then gave up and barely even logged in anymore but no one even noticed. Oh, when you are on the bench they sometimes make you do some ridiculous "accelerate" tasks but most if it is just busy work that helps you nothing in making you more employable.

Pros

2 at-home days per week

Cons

Mandatory office time even when entire team is halfway across the country. Lack of upwards mobility. Constant pressure to inject generative AI into tasks that it can’t or shouldn’t do. Small increases in pay occur only once every 2-3 years.
