Pros
Contrary to popular belief, Insight, especially the Canadian division, is owned by good people that aim to not only be the best in the IT Industry but also take care of its employees. For example, the company recently organized a hiking trip to Georgian Bay, with an overall goal to bring all of us closer together. I can honestly say this is the best company trip I have ever been on, and I feel closer to my teammates than I did before the trip. It's little things like that that show Insight wants us to not only work hard but also enjoy ourselves outside of work. Management here is very approachable, humble, and supportive, and I can honestly say I am pleasantly surprised with my experience here so far. I highly recommend working here. Good IT Training, good people, good management, challenging work. If you are looking to face some tough challenges as well as meet good people, Insight is the right place for you. Please note that this company is obviously not for everyone...very strict budget requirements are to be met monthly, they are hard to obtain but certainly not impossible to obtain if you are passionate about IT. Be ready to make a lot of cold calls and win over new accounts. Highly competitive industry - if you don't have passion for the product you sell, it will be hard to differentiate yourself from the competition. This also makes Insight a great place to grow as it pushes you to reach new professional heights A lot of opportunities to learn - Manufacturers such as HP, Cisco, Dell, and Lenovo consistently incentivize us to learn about their products. If you like to learn about the latest and greatest IT Products, this is the place for you Wellness initiatives and program - Insight HR wants to help its employees stay active as they organize after hour fitness classes , yoga, meditation, etc...
Cons
If you like the road more than you like the office, this is not the right fit if you like closed cubicle environment, this is not the right fit. This is open space.
