Pros

Their remote working arrangements are one of the better ones and benefits are generally good (except medical where it covers just about enough). Most colleagues are supportive and encouraging and forged many friends along the way.

Cons

Current new management is imposing their own GTM strategy and we have seen a few employees being let go. The real unfortunate part of this is not the right-sizing (which happens in almost all tech companies), but its the manner on how the non-existent HR have been dealing with people who are being retrenched. The manner it’s being done is very cold and brutal - with almost no communication at all on how this is being managed. Instructure prides itself on holding its values of “Openness” and “Relationships” but I guess it is its own hypocrite when dealing with employees who have contributed so much to the business - just to be treated as an unwanted commodity. For a company with Instructure’s position, it should have done so much better - a real shame that simple and basic care of treating people right and decently is not being practiced in reality.
