It was my first job in clothing retail, and I absolutely loved it. I think J.Crew is a great company to work for. - Anonymous employee J. Crew Employee Review

Pros

The best thing about working for J.Crew is the employee discounts! You get 30% off everything in the store (additional 30% off the sale items) as well as a '60s List' (60% off select new items) to choose from each month.

Cons

Dealing with the other employees that have worked at J.Crew for a lengthy amount of time, they kind of look down upon you even though you are working the same position as them.

Pros

Good time-off package. Holiday week off for office employees. Historically respected work-life balance and flexible working. Good employee discount and maternity leave.

Cons

C-suite pushing a mandatory 3 days in-office after 5+ years of boasting flexibility as a cornerstone of their employee benefits package. Lack of clear and thoughtful communication of this new policy was frustrating and disheartening as an employee. Leadership, starting with the CEO, is at an all-time low of the last 6 years of working in their corporate office. Horrifying to see how poorly initiatives are getting rolled out, likely getting pushed down from board of directors. Would anticipate a rough transition into the company if you choose to take a role replacing the dozens of employees possibly being forced to leave the company due to RTO.
