Pros

In my initial review I was very positive about working here. 3 years later I have a very different view. Well-known bank A lot of intelligent people to learn from Good benefits Flexible working arrangements (WFH, different office locations, etc)

Cons

Salaries are sub-par and promotion pay equals inflation rate at 2% - that's all...So the best people don't stick around for long. No transparency around compensation or promotions (employees at the same level within the same group and location can have £10-30k salary difference). Some "top" managers are grandfathered in and are not top talent otherwise Quality employees are becoming a dying breed Mobility is not as advertised

Pros

The team was supportive and willing to answer questions. I gained practical experience in industry research, financial analysis, Excel, and data organization while working on real projects. Managers provided helpful feedback, and the internship was a good opportunity to understand how research and analytical work is completed in a professional environment.

Cons

Some assignments could become repetitive, especially data cleaning, database updates, and reviewing large amounts of information. Deadlines could also be tight during busy periods. Because the internship was relatively short, interns sometimes had limited ownership over longer-term projects.
