Pros

The company has nice benefits. The position itself no trills. Nothing changes often. You sit a lot. Free lunch on the last day of the month.

Cons

The concept of the job is to blast out as many bills as possible. Then you are graded based on your accuracy and speed monthly. You can only have one mistake for the whole month. Management is negative. You have a monthly 1 on 1 and after any comments you make during the meeting your manager will email you an summary with negative comments after what you said. You work at cafeteria style tables and for it being a HVAC company the temperature is boiling hot from spring to fall. Almost nothing is ever scheduled everything is just winged. You have to compete for work. You are REQUIRED to continuously click refresh until work shows up. Then claim it fast as possible. This was called the Hungry Hungry Hippo method. If you don't do this you will fail to reach their quota. This was explained to me after I was put on a Performance Improvement Plan. There's a point tier system youre reviewed with. If you miss a goal by .05 they talk to you like you critically need help. That .05 can cost you 20% on your review. There is zero thinking ahead. This is a 'not a problem until it's a problem' environment.

Pros

Decent base pay and fast paced work makes the days go by quickly. Lately the company has been actually investing in their new product lines ever since Joakim became our CEO.

Cons

The compensation is lacking. No bonuses whatsoever for senior level engineers even when they're recognized as a key contributor on the team. We are given our 401k match on March 1st to cover the previous year's matches so you lose out on a lot of the year's market gains. The healthcare coverage is mediocre at best for a fortune 500 company. The raises are still given like it's 2018; 3% is considered a "good" merit increase. This is due to the "forced distribution" merit increase system where only "so many" people can receives "above expectations" raises.
