Pros
When working as an employee, you can take advantage of decent benefits as long as negative sides don't impact you.
Cons
They are not recognizing internal talent, more often than not, an external employee will have a better entry salary due to internal rule of not going higher than a certain percentage increase. Often prone to budget/travel/hire freeze which directly impact customers. No effort to keep salaries according to local market
