Pros

Now, honestly, there is no advantage further to the salary

Cons

Top Managers ( specially the ones coming from Tyco ) with poor ( and especially very old fashioned ) skills or industry knowledge. Results obtained through expense reduction on basic areas or even through, i.e. tree months travel freeze every year . Micromanagement have paralyzed the company. As there is not a business strategy, business and customers are shirinking and results are achieved through cost reduction, restructuring and freezing. Looks like George Oliver only cares about staying in the position another qtr. Whatever the impact on business and customers. Therefore he is appointing cost reduction freaks around, and just destroying a well earned reputation and wasting the money coming from Automotive sales. Motivation of employees is under critical levels. Completely unable to transform the company to where the market is demanding. Different areas working in different directions, consultants such as Accenture, McKinsey working without communication. Technologies ( As CRM ) implemented with hierarchical systems and not using any agile system. Configuration done without working in cultural change at all. Same organization, same processes, same very old fashioned Sales & Marketing strategies with just a new technology that doesn`t fit... If I would be thinking in investing in JCI would be only intra day for a very speculative ROI, but there is no mid-long term profit expected coming from business operations. Don't get fooled by the thermostat, IoT, and content they are publishing to clean their image with the new Social Media person they have hired and that are publishing content with no foundations. JCI is just a dying dinousar.

Pros

Pro's depend on where you sit in the organization. Broadly, JCI is a focused, mission-driven organization leading sustainability and smart-building innovations worldwide. The technology is strong, very strong, we have a data-driven culture, and the work is meaningful. There are endless routes to professional development (you just need to put in the work), and you'll be exposed to teams and people of all walks of life from around the world. JCI's people are its greatest asset. There is a huge collection of really excellent people here. If you enjoy how that sounds, you'll enjoy working here.

Cons

The higher you climb, the more complex the organizational layers get. The closer you are to the customer, however, the less you'll see that complexity. Essentially, the Con's depend on where you sit in the organization. Broadly speaking, JCI sets high expectations that require resilience and adaptability. Your focus is occasionally taxed by news and moves from other levels of the org. You need to train yourself to focus on what matters most to you and not let what you can't control affect what you can control.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
