Pros
You get a paycheck. The customers are pretty good in the area. Employees of non management status understand the program and try to help.
Cons
Pay is terrible. Scheduled 6 to 7 days a week. Shifts are 3-5 hours. You run multiple different departments at once. Most staff are not trained and have no idea whats going on. Management is abusive and miserable. District management appears to not notice that the store has 3-6 year old tags and is in bad condition. Checkouts are not plano'd correctly. Merchandise is placed wherever there is room. Constant price issues. No communication from management other than to degrade you or complain about metrics. Company requires reward card enrollments for you to get any hours. Kmart needs a revamp and major adjustment in Lee County. Customer service is lacking at best and there is never enough help to assist customers in a timely fashion. Getting a manager to the front of the store for assistance or an override is worse than pulling teeth. Constant no shows and customer walk-outs. I would rather work for a company that cares about customers. Looking for different employment opportunity after 1 month of this company.
