Good if I wasn't expected to perform the work of three or more people. - Executive Trainee Kohl's Employee Review

Pros

They have great benefits and the crazy schedule (overnights, late shifts or early shifts, weekends off occasionally) works for some but not me. The employees are extremely nice and dedicated but they can only do so much. You get to visit corporate and meet others which is a great way to build moral and pride in the company.

Cons

No A/C on overnight shifts (they are going "green"). Training is spotty. You are on your feet for about 95% of the shift (either running, walking or running up stairs). After training you are fully salaried which means no overtime and if you have a project not completed you have to put in the hours whether it be 80 a week.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
