Offers friendly, flexible scheduling for their techs, but they don't pay them anywhere near as well as other places. - Pharmacy Technician Kroger Employee Review

Pros

Kroger gives a nice employee discount. As far as scheduling goes, everytime I've needed shifts covered even for a week or so, I had co-workers fill in for me without hassle. Pharmacists really care about the patients. If you're lacking hours there are other stores that will willingly give you hours if there are some available. Very friend coworkers.

Cons

You are not given a lunch break so we basically ate as we worked. The pay is not sufficient enough to live off of. I'm pretty sure Kroger pharmacy tech pay rates are on the lower end in comparison to other pharmacies. You could make the same/more as a waiter or even at fast food (no joke).

Pros

• Generally work with fantastic people. • Work is not difficult, and time flies when busy. • My bosses collaborated with me to create a schedule that worked, as I often had other commitments. • Overall, a pleasant work experience most days. Get good at what you do and you'll do fine.

Cons

• Some of the senior management was less friendly than others - as to be expected. • Days were very volatile; some could be extremely easy, and others could be a nightmare. • Scheduling was kept rather limited; although I was able to get the hours I wanted, often times management would look to cut hours from departments whenever possible, leaving less support.
