Pros

Pay, benefits, bonus, great opportunities for high school kids

Cons

Work 10 shifts and is expected to stay after your shift is over. Some days you are not expected to take a full hour lunch when you are busy. Weekends off is out of the question. I have only had 5 Saturdays off in 52 weeks. Now that two members of management have to work on Sunday, I have not had a Sunday off since October. You are at risk for being transferred with only a few days notice. I like what I do, but there should be a balance. Oh Yeah, NO holidays off..no room for advancement because they already know who they want in the open positions.

10% discount on all kroger branded items $17.25 per hour is one of the better wages in the area when compared to competitor stores

Cons

October-January the workload and store environment is overwhelming due to holidays Slowest time of year in the store is during the summer when its hot and days drag ob forever Lack of communication between dept as well as between store management MOD adds insurmountable tasks onto your already lengthy expected daily task assignments
