Pros

None. Everything this company does seems to be working against both the customer and the employee, purposely.

Cons

I've been with this company more than 5 years, and within these five years I've seen the company go downhill and were not allowed to talk about it for some strange reason....I knew something was up when we had a huge company layoff, our hold times literally haven't been the same since. They let go hundreds of tenured reps to replace them with unlicensed contractors that could care less about the job. Team managers are none existent. Over the 5 years I've talked each of my team managers a total of 3 times, which consisted of "hey how you doing and that's it". Our goal was to get in the top 3 insurance ranking when I started now our goal is to get in the top 5, not a coincidence. Our systems are broken and were just told to deal with it the best we can. This is all while out call hold time stays around the 30 to 40 minute mark. We constantly raise our rates for all of our customers. When I first started we had a "rate team" now every rep takes rate calls, again not a coincidence. Just because our Tampa office works from home now, does not mean we don't have the typical corporate politics, because we do in spades. If you know the right people this could be the best job on the planet. This job puts food on the table for my family that's it. It is the most stressful job due to customers, management, company issues I've ever had.

Pros

Liberty Mutual genuinely lives its people-first values. I have real work-life balance and feel trusted and supported by both leadership and my peers. The culture is inclusive - I can bring my full, authentic self to work every day, and the Employee Resource Groups create true community and belonging. The growth opportunities are endless: between internal mobility, Short-Term Assignments (STAs), mentorship programs, and cross-functional projects, I've been able to build new skills and visibility across the enterprise well beyond my core role. The company invests in your development and genuinely wants to see you succeed.

Cons

With so many opportunities, committees, and ERGs to get involved in, it's easy to take on too much. Being intentional about where you focus your time is key to protecting that great work-life balance. It's a large enterprise, so it can take time to learn how to navigate all the resources and pathways available. More centralized visibility into open STAs and mobility opportunities would make them even easier to pursue.
