Pros
The platform itself is recognized by many brands as best in class. You get to work with customers who really value the work you do in transforming their business. A lot of the colleagues you get to work with are hard working, passionate and experts in their field. You learn a lot.
Cons
All of the cons I could list would simply be symptoms of the root cause which is poor middle and senior management. From the top, there is no clear strategy and priorities changes from one day to the next. People managers clearly don't push back or challenge so the erratic decisions at exec level are felt by everyone. There are a number of individuals who are not cut out to be managers. Some may be nice people, sure. But they lack basic skills such as communication, empathy, training, mentoring or any of the basics you'd expect from an average manager, let alone a good one. The most frustrating thing is that this is widely recognised by my peers so I believe other managers must see it too, but nothing is done about. Literally nothing, apart from maybe giving one of these managers a promotion!
