Pros

There are fantastic projects and opportunities, especially within the space division. Everyone is open and inviting, so networking opportunities are everywhere. If you are a lucky new hire who gets put on a great project, you will have a great time as well with lots of potential to learn and grow.

Cons

There are some major issues with retaining young engineers in aeronautics, which seems to stem from not treating young engineers with respect. They are passionate and willing to help, so seeing many of them sitting around not being allowed to help out with great projects is a sad waste of talent. If you are in the aeronautics division and not one of the lucky few who immediately get put on a project, just be aware that you will spend the beginning of your career waiting around and not being allowed to be very involved, no matter how hard you look for work and volunteer your support. There are great opportunities, but you will definitely have to wade through boring and mundane times before you are allowed any real work.

Pros

High level of integrity throughout the company, open communications, and sincere interest in doing the right thing.

Cons

Unfortunately, I need to come up with twenty words of cons. When in reality after 41+ years in IT, I have no cons for Lockheed Martin. They are not perfect, but highly acceptable.
