Pros

You will be busy and easy to meet goals

Cons

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience, and if I had the option, I would rate them a zero. The job goals, such as making 60 calls and submitting 5 applications per job site, were easily achievable. However, the major issue lies in the promises made during the hiring process. Initially, they assured me that after successfully completing a 90-day probationary period, Manpower would extend a permanent position offer. Despite my efforts, when I inquired about a pay increase during onboarding, I was informed that everyone receives the same rate, regardless of location or experience. They emphasized that post-probation, I would become eligible for a pay raise, benefits, and bonuses. Additionally, during the interview, they mentioned Manpower's commitment to covering college tuition. However, after the 90-day period, during which my performance exceeded expectations, I was informed that the transition to permanent status is solely based on "seniority," and benefits are reserved for permanent employees only. Furthermore, college tuition assistance is limited to full-time permanent employees or becomes available after 6 months to a year. Additionally, there were no bonuses after the initial 90 days. If you're in urgent need of a job, this opportunity might suffice. However, if you seek stability and opportunities for growth, this company falls short of its promises.

Pros

I can’t think of any pros

Cons

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Manpower during an orientation on April 6, 2026. I arrived early at the job site (around 8:00 AM) and was ready to begin work. Around 9:00 AM, I was wrongly accused of having a body odor issue and was removed from orientation in front of others. This accusation was completely incorrect — I was wearing clean clothes, deodorant, and cologne. The actual source of the odor was another individual, but I was the one singled out and embarrassed. Because of this mistake, I was prevented from starting work and lost a full week of wages. I attempted to resolve the issue by calling shortly after (around 10:38 AM), but no proper resolution was provided, and I was told I would receive a follow-up call that never came. Due to the seriousness of this situation, I have filed formal complaints with the FTC, BBB, and the Illinois Department of Labor regarding lost wages and unprofessional treatment. This situation was handled very poorly and lacked basic professionalism and accountability. Being publicly singled out and removed without proper investigation is unacceptable. I hope the company takes responsibility, addresses this internally, and ensures it does not happen to anyone else.
