Pros

Weekend pay differential (bonus), regular merit increases, discount on purchases of course. Profit sharing available after 1000 hours worked to all eligible employees in a fiscal year after the store posts profits. The longer and employees service the larger the percentage the payout can be.

Cons

Understaffing and sometimes working alone can be difficult and demanding. Break periods are short; 10 minutes and meals are only 30 minutes. Training seems about average, most stores require departments to hold monthly meetings. Advancement is limited unless you are in an area that is growing; new stores being built or in an area where people are moving to other stores promoting up.

Pros

A few of the people are nice to work with.

Cons

A store manager who talks down to employees like they're children (and apparently gets promoted for it). A store manager who acts like employees are idiots for calling him to ask questions. Raises are pathetic. Understaffed because the store manager won't allow enough labor hours to do the job, particularly on Sundays when there's a lot of freight.
