Pros

I worked with some great people. The systems weren’t too bad either.

Cons

I worked for Mercer a long time and saw a lot of good very qualified people get let go. It’s just part of their business, the only problem is they are not good at correcting their course after the layoffs, leaving people feel aimless and without any sort of purpose, this inaction queues those people up for the next round of layoffs. So instead of helping and supporting and training they just watch you fade.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
