Toxic, toxic, toxic. Did I say toxic? - Consultant Mercer Employee Review

Pros

Smart colleagues. Good reputation. Global.

Cons

Leadership is clueless and visionless. Some are heartless. The environment is becoming increasingly toxic. People are leaving or being asked to leave. Work, work, work and get underpaid and under-recognized. Reorg, reorg, reorg — all smoke and mirrors for the fact that leadership don’t have a clue. Yep, emporers, we see that you aren’t wearing any clothes! It seems only colleagues in India are giving Mercer high reviews on Glassdoor.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
