Pros

Backed by WPP, one of the largest firms in the world because of this, they have some big time clients working with them.

Cons

I would say the individuals’ experience is highly dependent on the account that you’re working on but based the overall vibes are: - There is a very cultish behaviour among the employees in the company. Like if you’re from one account it means you can’t mingle with individuals from other accounts, neither is there any opportunity for you to do so. It’s also very hard for you to mingle with others from other agencies even tho you share the same pantry. - It’s hot desking and there is a need to go to the office 2-3x a week, but the facilities provided are atrocious. If you’re lucky, you get to use monitors that are so outdated, they either come with a VGA port or have screen resolution from the 1990s. Plus, you also have to bring your own charging cable, because it’s not provided at all the hot-desking stations. The office is gloomy, dusty and with holes in the ceilings. - Equipment provided for work is also the bare minimum. Received only the laptop and although it is used, it’s so laggy, it crashes every time i open excel and there are no headphones or mouse provided. If you’re planning to join or have saw the job posting for a position in B2B for a particular account, I’d say please reconsider these facts and then make your decision: - The main lead is very passive aggressive and a micromanager. So expect comments to be critical, clueless, unrealistic and cryptic. - Culture fostered in the team is to speak in a highly condescending manner. - It is super messy, there are no processes and there is no structure to doing things, it is concocted on the spot, mainly because it’s changed hands multiple times in a year. - Communication with teammates is almost non-existent, people work in silo. - The work you’re doing is basically whatever the lead wants, with no logic or rationale. - There is a lot of backstabbing here from all seniority levels.

Pros

-Good pay. Hired at just over 100K as a manager with 3 years of experience. Maybe because they planned for me to do 3 roles combined into one. -Nice team and ADs/Director, but this can very account by account. -Lots of exposure to clients and other media brands which can help put WPP into context.

Cons

-Refused to add support to our understaffed team: When I joined my team, I took the responsibilities of 3 members who recently left. Despite begging for help and an associate to split the load with for the duration of my time at MS, I never received one. Now that I have put in my two week notice, they are pulling 3 onshore people and 2 offshore people to take over my responsibilities... -"Leadership" are mystical overlords you will never meet unless you are at the AD level or above. If you have complaints you better hope your director mentions them otherwise leadership will never hear them. -High turnover: I had 2 directors within 3 months, and one get laid off in the span of two years. -Reliance on cheap foreign labor: More and more pushing for using the GDS team. I was a "manager" with no on shore associates. All of the people I "managed" were on a 9 hour time difference and had bosses of their own.
