I worked at Mindshare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazing client list. Some of the most interesting brands in the world.
Genuinely concerned about Mindshare’a place in the future too so lots of action to try and deliver a vision for the future

    Cons

Endless hiring freezes, GroupM mandates and policies mean it is very difficult to get things done.
Not enough mixing between client accounts you only get to experience one client at a time.

    Advice to Management

    Build up shared services
    Reduce number of financial directors

I have been working at Mindshare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most of the peers you work with us good but upper management plain sucks.

    Cons

Good talents are not appreciated. Funny cause it is no secret that the only way to get promoted or get a raise is to get another job offer and watch their pathetic management scramble to put together a counter offer. Oh their annual performance review and their HR initiative to have learning goals? Don't bother... it doesn't work. Nobody cares because the dirty counter offer secret is well known.

    Advice to Management

You know the good ones... they stick out. Why not reward them before they get another offer?

I have been working at Mindshare (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very involved in their Glass Door page/rankings

    Cons

A number of comments on reviews are quite demeaning in tone. Whether or not this is intentional, it gives the appearance that HR isn't taking these reviews seriously.

    For example:
"Sorry you did not have the experience the other people at Mindshare had (as you can read from the other reviews and from the fact that many people stay for very long time at Mindshare)"
"Love to read about nice people as that is indeed a great starting point of your experience with Mindshare. We have many stories to share about our talents creating their careers at Mindshare through the different ranks, developing new skill sets and experiencing the global network. Not sure what happened to you?"

    Advice to Management

Take employee comments and reviews seriously rather than putting on a facade

I have been working at Mindshare full-time

    Pros

-Great coworkers and friends who work here
-Emphasis on innovation and industry leadership makes it a good place to learn

    Cons

-Company growth and expansion is valued far above individual employees, bringing them to the point of burnout
-Lack of care for employees in positions with understaffed teams, low support or poor work/life balance
-Loss of sense of community and culture

    Advice to Management

The Chicago office used to have a fantastic sense of culture. There were leaders who truly fought for the idea that by caring for people and putting them first, you can get great work from your employees. This really showed and brought out the best in the people who work here. Recently, new leadership has been brought in who instead emphasize hierarchy and create a toxic environment to work in. Management needs to work to bring back a positive workplace and show greater care for the people doing the work that keeps this company going.

    Pros

    - Peers are amazing
     - Opportunity to learn
     - collaboration across teams

    Cons

    - Company Growth is placed above talent
     - there is literally no space to put people
     - I was told the company culture was the best part when coming over, however, i feel culture is lacking
     - Mid-management roles are scarce
     - Sr. Leadership doesn't lean in, or provide leadership due to "other priorities"
     - lack of accountability

    Advice to Management

    - Pay attention to your employees
     - trust and make action on feedback
     - get a bigger office
