Pros

Free lunch, a lot of snacks, no rules of engagement you can close any deal you want as long as you are friends with a main manager, easy layups if you are friends with your manager, easy upsells due to lack of support you can upsell a “better” support package which really means getting support to answer within a week instead of 3 weeks.

Cons

Overall it’s a toxic environment that is overly obsessed with their competitor. I feel that the CEO (who has had multiple C titles in the past few years) is blinded by money/revenue and can’t see the toxic culture of the company. If you do not agree with him you will probably be gone in a few months (look at change in management constantly). Managers will help their friends and if you aren’t a friend you will probably be gone in a few months. The “friends” reps change billing addresses and get away with it. The ceo turns a blind eye to the cheating for the sole purpose of revenue. You won’t grow here. Just stay stagnant and collect paychecks.

Pros

-Good people to work with who I actually don't mind talking to -Global spread of company which makes for interesting x-collaboration opportunities -good in office perks if you're near a hub -good pay for location, experience, and level -flexible wfh and RTO plan (2 days a week if near a hub) -you get the startup feel because it's a small company for being around for so long -not a ton of bureaucracy, but definitely internal politics happening behind the scenes -good mix of tenured employees and newer hires

Cons

Company has gone through a lot of changes as of late with leadership. Can be hard to understand what our focus is and where our sweet spot is in the market in comparison to other competitors, big & small. Not a ton of transparency from the new CEO on changes and decisions being made. HRBPs could better guide their stakeholders on messaging and handling of sensitive information and decisions. The product is also very complex and technical therefore it takes a lot to get up to speed on product knowledge. Hard to always know what the company focus is at any given moment because decisions change by the week and month. I feel like this is an affliction most companies that are fast moving deal with so take it with a grain of salt. Not a lot of great company KPIs and RKOs that can be pointed to outside of revenue goals. No great product mission or value statement that can be easily understood across the company. Disparities between how some GTM teams operate by region vs others which creates incongruity and pain when trying to understand how something is being done or when trying to set an operational standard. New execs and e-staff members are trying to do away with the cultural aspects that make Mixpanel special like Mixcursion and shared company/team experiences like off sites.
