Pros
-Secure employment...because I am contracted, even if my hospital lets me go, I am still employed by Morrison and can be moved to another account without missing a paycheck. -Lots of work done for you in corporate. There are pre-made menus, recipes, training manuals, patient education, survey materials, nutrition manuals and lots more plus you are connected to a huge network of support in all of Morrison's other accounts nationwide. -Awesome benefits. Morrison moved me across the country and paid for everything! There are healthcare and dental packages you can choose from but they are all decent and affordable. Morrison offers a 401K plan and matches up to 6%. -Opportunity to travel to other accounts -Ability to move to other places and stay with the same employer.
Cons
-Morrison is a foodservice company and expects its clinical staff to be involved in kitchen functions which can be different than what some RD's are accustomed to. -Morrison also asks a lot of managers and there can be long hours involved, but then again, there are plenty of easy days to make up for the bad ones. -From the position of CNM, if you don't want to become a director, there isn't a lot of options to move up. Moving to bigger accounts is really your only option unless you want a corporate job based in Atlanta....when they are available which is not often.
