Pros

Large, stable organization Part of UnitedHealth Group, so very financially stable with opportunities for internal mobility. Looks great on a resume due to strong brand recognition. Structured systems & policies Standardized workflows, plenty of SOPs, which can reduce ambiguity. Mission-driven environment A focus on improving population health and value-based care, can be fulfilling.

Cons

Can feel very corporate & metrics-heavy Many employees report heavy focus on productivity metrics, quotas, or call times (especially in case management and UM). Some feel patient care comes second to business KPIs. Pay competitiveness varies Salaries are generally solid but not always top of market, especially considering workload in some departments.

Pros

Difficult to say many positives, as most of the current field staff has either resigned or currently interviewing for other positions.

Cons

Office management, upper management within the company leave staff with unfulfilled promises, ineffective communication, lack of response to questions and concerns that staff members ask on a weekly basis. This office has such high turnover with obvious lack of concern by any of the higher ups within LHC group, Optum, Amedisys. These 3 companies are merging or UHC is purchasing- upper management is unable or unwilling to share exact plans which has been adding to overall anxiety, uncertainty within this office. As staff we continue to be told ‘just hang tight, things will get better’.
