Worst job I've had - Front Counter Team Member Panda Express Employee Review

There is absolutely no work-life balance to speak of. The management didn't care about their staff and was not accommodating to their employees' lives and schedules. When I got the job I was told I'd be working part-time, but I had to work over 40 hours a week. I got no benefits. It was very difficult for us to get breaks. Most of the time I didn't even get to take a lunch break. I had to work 12 hour shifts from sun-up to sun-down all weekend every weekend, often with only 1 or 2 ten minute breaks. It was close to impossible to get any days off. Policies were extremely strict but management would contradict it often. We'd get in trouble and lectured about food costs if we gave the customer slightly more food than they should have received. But management was also quick to give out free food and refunds if the customer voiced even the smallest grievance. We'd be lectured if we tried to clock in 5 minutes before our shift started, but management also made us stay hours after our shift ended. Management played favorites as well. Men were payed more than women for the same job starting, regardless of their skills or experience. . Raises and promotions were not given out fairly.
