      Pros

      Paychex has a strong financial track record, which creates a reasonable level of job security. The company has evolved in the few years that I have been here, relaxing dress code standards and increasing some of our other benefits. For me, it's fairly close to home, so my commute is not too long.

      Cons

      Sometimes base pay is on the low end. The company makes up for it with a strong benefits package. The company is pretty conservative, and I think the impression of the benefits package can be enhanced by allowing domestic partners of employees to be on the insurance plan.

      Pros

      Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

      Cons

      It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

      Pros

      People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

      Cons

      Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
