Pros

Great benefits. Unlimited PTO. Flexible work/life balance.

Cons

The company's key differentiators are not invested in by upper management - i.e. poor service from a company that sells 1 to 1 service as a unique feature. Multi-faceted issue but it comes down to lack of investment in training, salaries and SIMPLICITY. Turnover is high in service and sales because neither has enough training, the starting pay is below the market and the internal and external processes to get things done continue to get harder instead of more simplistic. We sell a smooth, well-functioning, service machine but we operate in an out-dated, over complicated, tired and frustrated state.

Pros

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

Cons

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

Pros

People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

Cons

Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
