Pros

One of the biggest strengths of working at Paycom is the people. The coworkers and teams you work alongside often create a strong sense of community and are a major reason many employees stay. There is also a lot of pride in the workplace environment, with a well-maintained campus, landscaped grounds, and amenities such as a gym, catered meals, recreational leagues, and outdoor spaces like the park on campus. The company also places a strong emphasis on safety, which helps employees feel safe with gated access and visible on-site security. Professionally, it is a place where you are constantly exposed to growth, innovation, and evolving technology, so there are many opportunities to learn, adapt, and build new skills regardless of department you may end up in.

Cons

The environment can be fast-paced, and expectations are high, which may not be the right fit for everyone and where I see a lot of people struggle. As the company continues to grow and evolve, processes and priorities can shift quickly, so adaptability is important. Communication across departments can sometimes be challenging in a large organization, but that often comes with the scale of a growing company. Advancement opportunities are available, though employees typically need to be proactive, consistent, and willing to take on new challenges to stand out. At the same time, those demands can push employees to discover their potential and grow beyond what they thought possible. It is uncommon to stay in your comfort zone for long periods of time, but that often keeps the work engaging and rewarding.

Pros

The People Make Paycom - I really enjoy working with everyone I have had the change to work with. As someone that moved to Oklahoma from out of state, my co-workers were welcoming, and I have several current and previous co-workers that I am friends with outside the office. In addition, the clients that I work with LOVE Paycom. It is easy to come to work when you are working with clients that genuinely want your help and enjoy working with you.

Cons

There aren't many opportunities to work remotely or from home in a hybrid manner, at least not in my department. My department is also relatively new, so there are a lot of changes fairly often. I'd like to have more consistency there, but I know that will come as our department grows.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Cons

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
